Author: Mary Fortune

Born in Ireland in 1832, Mary Fortune emigrated to Australia during the goldrush, which she observed firsthand and depicted in many of her stories. Fortune died in 1911. She was one of the earliest female detective writers, and now some of her stories are made available in a short story collection.
